Family and River-Facing Cottages at Manas National Park
Most guests who write to Sikhiri Cottages are not looking for a 40-room hotel. They want a door that opens onto trees, space for children, and a verandah. That is what the Family Cottage is for.
Family Cottage — deluxe, river-facing
- Sleeps: 4 (1 king + 1 queen)
- Published rate: ₹6,000 per night for 2 people, breakfast included
- Extra person: ₹1,000
- Private: river-facing verandah, outdoor dining table, space for a cottage-side bonfire
The Family Cottage is the room people ask to come back to. You eat breakfast at your own table if you want privacy, then walk to the shared restaurant for dinner. Children can be in the second bed without booking two rooms.

The other three cottages (so you do not overbuy)
The Perch — Super Deluxe, sleeps 3
From ₹6,500. King bed plus a diwan / sofa-bed. AC, private verandah, open-to-sky shower. This is the “we want the nicest room” cottage, not the biggest.
Loners Cottage — Standard Plus AC, sleeps 3
From ₹4,200. Two singles plus an extra single. Built for a couple or a solo traveller who wants air-conditioning and does not need a river deck. Name aside, families with one child use it.
The Nest — Standard, sleeps 2
Fan only, one king bed. The simple jungle cottage. Sensible for two adults on a short stay.

What “family-friendly” means here
- Cottages are separate, not hotel rooms off a corridor
- Breakfast is included; lunch and dinner are cooked to order — tell the kitchen if you have small children and need an early plate
- Pool on the property
- Safaris: jeep jeep takes up to six; we help with seats and a packed lunch
- Village walk and tea garden are easier with kids than a second long jeep ride
- The campus is wooded. Children need the usual forest rules: no wandering after dark, no feeding animals, shoes after dusk
A two-cottage plan for grandparents + parents
Book Family Cottage + Nest (or Perch) so the children sleep with parents and grandparents have a door of their own. Both rooms are a short walk apart.
What is not included in the cottage rate
- Jeep / elephant / raft fees and forest permits
- Bonfire (ask; usually extra)
- Lunch and dinner
- Pickup from Guwahati or Barpeta Road
