Jeep, Elephant or Raft — Which Manas Safari to Book
Guests often write “book all safaris.” That is three different products, three different clocks, and three different energy levels. Use this comparison, then message us with one clear plan.

Book the jeep if you do only one thing
The jeep safari is the backbone of a Manas trip. Bansbari–Mathanguri is the standard first drive. If you have two mornings, change range: Bhuyanpara, Panbari or Kahitama.
Sit in a mid-row seat if you get cold; the front is windier at 6:00 am in January.
Add the elephant only if the slot is real
The elephant safari is short. It is memorable. It is not “the whole park from an elephant.” Book it when:
- you already have a jeep on another slot, and
- the Forest Department still runs the ride on your date
If elephant rides are paused in a given season, we will not pretend they are available.
Raft when the river is honest
Rafting is the activity we cancel first after rain. When it runs, it is the right answer for guests who have already done a long gypsy and want birds rather than another dusty road.
Combinations that work
- 1 night: morning jeep only
- 2 nights: morning jeep + afternoon jeep or morning jeep + elephant
- 2 nights, with children: morning jeep + village / tea garden, skip the second long drive
- 3 nights: two ranges + raft or Panbang (Indian ID holders)
